How to Apply for the Beijing 2022 Global Recruitment Program

All application for the Beijing 2022 Global Recruitment for Games Volunteers is online at the Volunteer Application Portal but in two different categories – Individual and Group. For Individual Applicants, you will register with your real name as it appears on a valid identity document, This valid identity document may be (but is not limited to) the Resident Identity Card of the People’s Republic of China, Passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. You will also fill in your personal information that is true and accurate and then submit your application online according to the instructions on the portal.  However, if you are unable to access the portal, you may apply through correspondence with Beijing 2022 or at the public engagement and communications outlets established by relevant organizations authorized/designated by Beijing 2022. Volunteers from around the world that are aged 18 and above can apply for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic games. There are no specific field of study or industry that are required to apply. The application is open to all individuals who possesss specialist and non-specialist skills. There are two categories of Games Volunteers at Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic games. They are the general and specific games volunteers. The work areas available to both categories of games volunteers include international relations, competition operations, press operations, marketing, human resources, cultural programs, logistics, security, transport, etc. Beijing 2022 will take a total of 39,000 games volunteers; 27,000 games volunteers for the Olympic games and 12,000 games volunteers for the Paralympic games. No, the games volunteers for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic games will not be paid. However, the Games volunteer management system will commend volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to the Games. Games volunteers at competition and non-competitive venues will resume work seven days before the Games and end three days after the Games. However, Games Volunteers for the Paralympic Winter Games will end work one day after the Games. During the Games, Games Volunteers will not work more than 8 hours a shift daily. Furthermore, in cases where the game volunteer works several consecutive working days, he/she will receive days-off.
